Yuko Yaguchi(矢口裕子) Anaïs Nin's Paris Revisited: The English-French Bilingual Edition wind rose-suiseisha/rose des vents-suiseisha 2021

【梗概】
The book is a revised, extended and bilingually translated edition of the Paris part of Anaïs Nin’s Paris and New York: Traveling, Loving, Writing, a book written by the author in 2019 (the French translation was done by Prof. Brendan Le Roux at Teikyo University). It consists of photographs of thirty-one places dear to Anaïs Nin in and around Paris (taken by the author), Nin’s quotes relevant to the places, and the author’s essays. It is a unique guidebook to Anaïs Nin the writer, the city she loved and lived in, and 20th century art, literature and thought. Readers will find Henry Miller, Antonin Artaud, Louis Bunuel, and Sylvia Beach interacting with Nin. In describing Nin’s life and work, critical attention is paid to feminism, Gender Studies, and psychoanalysis. It invites readers to set out on a literary time travel to Paris in the thirties with a 21st century consciousness.
