『関東英文学研究』（仮称）投稿論文募集！

　2008年度から、日本英文学会が『英文学研究』支部統合号を刊行することになったのをうけて、関東支部では、それに参加するかたちで、毎年度『関東英文学研究』（仮称）を刊行することになりました。つきましては、投稿論文を募集いたしますので、奮ってご投稿ください。投稿締め切りは2008年5月31日となっております。また、投稿の際には、以下の投稿規定を厳守してください。

　

日本語論文投稿規定

(1) 投稿者は会員に限ります。投稿前に会費が納入済みであること。

(2) 投稿論文は過去に印刷に付されたもの、もしくは投稿の時点でほかに印刷される見込みのものであってはなりません。ただし、既に口頭で発表し、その旨明記してある場合は審査の対象となりえます。投稿締切は5月31日（必着）です。

(3) 投稿の際には、以下の[1]から[3]を別々のファイルとして作成し、WORDファイル形式（.doc）、あるいはリッチテキスト形式（.rtf）で保存し、電子メールで提出して下さい。

[1] 投稿論文（投稿者の名前・謝辞等は一切書かないこと）

　　 長さの上限は14,000字程度。上記の長さには本文および註を含むが、論文末尾に加える文献書誌についてはこの制限外とする。

[2] 英文シノプシス（投稿者の名前・謝辞等は一切書かないこと）

　　　長さの上限は600語。英語を母語としない投稿者については、投稿前にネイティブ・スピーカーによる原稿のチェックを必ず受けること。

[3] カバーレター

原稿のタイトル、氏名［ふり仮名つき］、現在の所属、連絡用の住所、電話番号、ファックス番号、電子メールアドレス、謝辞［必要な場合］を明記したもの）

(4) 書式上の注意

[1] 外国の人名、地名、書名等は、少なくとも初出の箇所で原名を書く。

[2] 数字は半角の数字を使用すること。

[3] 註は原稿の末尾にまとめてつけること。

[4] 引用文は原則として和訳をつけないこと。

[5] その他書式の細部についてはThe MLA Handbook for Writers of ResearchPapersや『MLA新英語論文の手引書』（北星堂）などの標準的なスタイルマニュアルに従う。

(5) 宛先は、kantohenshu@elsj.org（メールの「件名」は「投稿論文」、ファイル名は最大8文字の半角アルファベットおよび／あるいは数字）受領確認後事務局から受領確認メールをお送りします。提出後3日以内にそれがない場合は、投稿論文が事務局に届いていない可能性がありますので、必ず再送信して下さい。それを怠ったため、審査に間に合わなかった投稿論文については、審査の対象とならないこともありえますので、ご注意下さい。(注)

(6) 投稿論文の採否および掲載の時期は関東支部編集委員会が決定します。

(7) 校正は原則として二校までとし、執筆者が行うこととします。校正時に変更が許されるのは植字上の、あるいは事実関係についての誤りのみに限られます。内容に関する訂正加筆は、一切許されません。

(8) 掲載論文の執筆者用抜刷は20部とします。

(9) 掲載論文を電子化して公開する権利は、日本英文学会関東支部が有するものとします。

（注）以前の投稿規定には投稿先メールアドレスは” kanto@elsj.org “となっていましたが事情により上記のようになりました。ただし、今回の5月31日の締め切りまでは以前のアドレスに送られた原稿もそのまま受領されます。

Guidelines for Submission to the Kanto Review of English Literature For papers written in English As of 2008, the Kanto Branch of the English Literary Society of Japan is publishing one volume of a journal per year.

When submitting a manuscript, please follow the guidelines for submission as specified below.

(1) Submission of a manuscript will be accepted only from current Members of the Kanto Branch of the Society. The annual membership fee should be paid prior to submission.

(2) No manuscripts which have been published or are currently under review for publication elsewhere should be submitted, except for papers which have been orally presented, provided that that fact is made clear. The deadline for submission is May 31.

(3) On the submission of a manuscript, each of the items from [1] to [3] below should be submitted as separate WORD files (.doc) or Rich Text Formatted files (.rtf), and should be sent by e-mail (see below).

[1] Manuscript (No author's name or acknowledgments should be included anywhere in the file.)

Articles should be limited to approximately 5,000 words in length, including the main text and any footnotes but not the bibliography.

Non-native speakers are advised to have the manuscript checked by a native English speaker prior to submission.

[2] English Synopsis (No author's name or acknowledgments should be included anywhere in the file.)

　　 The synopsis must be no more than 300 words in length. Non-native speakers are advised to have the synopsis checked by a native English speaker prior to submission.

[3] Cover Letter

　　 This should include the title of the manuscript, author's name, affiliation, contact address, phone number, fax number, e-mail address and acknowledgments (if any).

(4) Notes on Style

[1] Place all notes at the end of the manuscript.

[2] The style of the manuscript should follow a standard style manual such as The MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers.

(5) The manuscript, synopsis and cover letter should be sent to kantohenshu@elsj.org with "Manuscript for Submission" in the Subject headline. The filename must be 8 one-byte characters or less in length and must consist of letters of the alphabet and/or numbers. After receiving the manuscript, the Secretary of the Society will send an acknowledgement of receipt by e-mail.(*1)

If you receive no acknowledgment within 3 days, there is a possibility that the manuscript was not received, so please re-send it. Failure to do so could result in the manuscript not being considered for review.

(6) Decisions of whether to accept the manuscript or not and when to publish it will be made by the Editorial Board.

(7) In principle, authors will proofread twice and will be responsible for all corrections. Corrections are strictly limited to typographical and factual errors. In no case will amendments to the content be accepted.

(8) Contributors will receive 20 free off-prints.

(9) The Kanto Branch of the English Literary Society of Japan reserves the right to make published papers available in electronic form.

(*1) In the first version of this guideline, the e-mail address was written as kanto@elsj.org but was changed now as stated above. If you send your manuscript to the previous address, it would be received without any problem by the deadline (2008/05/31).
